Flagship headquarters brings 4K/60 10-bit HDR content to life using HIVE’s compact, high-performance media players

When ROE Visual set out to relocate its new global headquarters in Shenzhen, they used the opportunity to create a future-ready showroom to display their most advanced LED technologies. Delivering vibrant, high-resolution content across a diverse mix of LED displays, the showroom uses HIVE’s media playout platform.

A strategic showcase of trust and technology

Three times the size of its prior showroom, the new space is designed for product testing, immersive demos, virtual production and commercial showcase – all underpinned by smooth, high-fidelity playback.

HIVE’s involvement came through APAC distributor ARK Ventures, whose team specified HIVE media players as the right fit for powering multiple display zones. ROE Visual required precise colour performance, playback stability and flexibility for both fixed and portable use –a requirement delivered by HIVE’s compact Beeblade platform.

Flexible playback across multiple LED environments

HIVE powers content across the showroom using 16 Beeblade Osmia media engines housed within a single Beehive chassis. These compact units support high-resolution playback across immersive, corporate and signage zones – helping ROE Visual demonstrate the performance of their latest LED technologies.

Key display areas include:

– Glass Bridge Area – five Beeblades work in sync to power transparent LED at the showroom entrance

– 9th-floor Coral Art Wall

Featured displays include Coral, Topaz series, V8T, VST and Carbon panels – all requiring pixel-accurate, 10-bit HDR playback to reveal their full performance capabilities.

While HIVE has been widely adopted in fixed installs, live events and touring applications, this project reinforces its value in business-critical commercial settings – where reliability, uptime and ease of deployment are essential. The ROE team deployed and configured the full system themselves, with zero support required on-site. The system runs stably 24/7, meeting the demands of a permanent, high-traffic environment.

With HIVE’s clustered playback and network control features, content across all zones can be updated from anywhere on the internal network – allowing teams to refresh demo material quickly without entering the control room.

Though locally specified, this project aligns with HIVE’s global ambition – enabling international partners to scale their media capabilities through compact, high-performance systems. The collaboration with ARK Ventures ensured a smooth rollout, meeting the technical and operational needs of ROE Visual’s flagship site.
